It’s that time of year again. School starts in just one short month.
Our annual Backpacks for Little Hawks is in full swing. On Thursday August 24th we will be filling over 200 backpacks for our struggling families with elementary school children in Mountlake Terrace. Each backpack will be filled with all the basic items needed to help them have a successful school year.
Education is the best way to ensure that we are raising children that can compete in today’s world.
In order to accomplish this we need your help. It takes approximately $40.00 to fill each backpack. If we all adopt (so to speak) one or more child we could ensure that the packs are filled with everything needed.
We welcome and appreciate any and all donations.
A postcard stating “This Backpack and School Supplies are provided by the following” with a list of any company or person donating either money, or supplies.
